Pub Manager - The Roebuck, Leek
An exciting opportunity is available to come aboard as pub manager of the Roebuck, a traditional real ale and food pub in the heart of the historic market town of Leek. Built in 1626, The Roebuck is steeped in character and charm, and is a firm favourite amongst local residents and visitors alike. 10 cask ale pumps occupy the bar with a selection of Titanic ales and regularly rotating guest beers. Food is served daily covering both lunch and dinner service, and there is regular live music and festivals held in the Hop Yard, the outside bar with its own shed stacked full of craft beers.

The Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the day to day control of The Roebuck and ensure that high standards of customer service are achieved at all times.
- Ensure agreed standards for food and drink are delivered on every occasion.
- Support the supervisors & staff to maximise sales, being fully aware of all the food and drinks facilities and special promotions.
- In accordance with company guidelines, deal with any complaints/issues raised in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Ensure all staff arrive on duty at the correct time and in the correct uniforms, recording any lateness/absence.
- Lead and develop staff to maintain and improve high standards of service
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and the provision of a safe working environment.
- Ensure the bar is stocked efficiently taking note of Titanic branded products. Report maintenance faults promptly.
- Compose rotas and timesheets in line with business forecasts and wage budgets.
- Oversee cash handling, and ensure that the daily cash reports are completed.
- Continually take on board customer feedback, and act upon accordingly.
- To recruit, train and develop an effective team ensuring the full utilisation of systems to required standards.
- Carry out any other duties outside the normal routine within the overall scope of the position
