Royal Exchange Wins Pub Of The Year

Heart of Staffordshire Camra vote The Royal Exchange as their pub of the year 2013/14

Royal Exchange is beer lovers’ pub of the year

Titanic Brewery’s Royal Exchange has been crowned Pub of the Year by beer lovers in Mid Staffordshire.
The Radford Street, Stone, pub was voted as the area’s star bar by members of CAMRA’s heart of Staffordshire branch.
The Royal Exchange is well known for its well kept beer, local pub food and friendly local pub atmosphere.  It plays host to several clubs and societies, helping to put the pub at the heart of the Stone community.
Heart of Staffordshire members from CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) vote for an annual pub of the year.
Titanic Brewery transformed the pub after taking on what was previously a run down sports bar in 2008.
“The Royal Exchange has been a big success story for Titanic,” said brewery Director Dave Bott.
“Our vision has always been to provide local pubs where people of all ages can meet to enjoy good local produce and to talk.
“We are proud of the Royal Exchange and how it has grown to become part of the community. It serves as a venue for several societies in the town, including the Yarn of Ale Knitting Group and Stone Photographers.
“The pub also holds regular events such as the Monday night jazz club.
“The CAMRA award is also pleasing recognition for the quality of the beer and the way the pub staff led by landlady Michelle Hughes serve it.
“Along with our own range of fleet and special ales, we stock a range of guest beers from across the UK.”
Titanic Brewery employs 150 people in its Burslem brewery and pubs across Staffordshire. The brewery has a fleet of seven pubs across North and Mid Staffordshire
CAMRA members will present the award at the Royal Exchange on 8 August at 7.30pm.
