We have visited the pub on numerous occasions and we have never been disappointed.Andy is a star guy who leads a cheerful, helpful and professional team who make any visit a pleasure. Excellent beers, superb food all in the most remarkable settings
Visited today and I must say what a lovely pub. The food is out of this world and there is a great choice of beers. Shame it was lunchtime and I had to go back to work. Will definitely be returning one evening for food and a few beers. Gonna tell all my friends to give it a try.
Well what a little gem this pub is,walked in to a nice open fire and welcomed by the lovely landlady.
The girls behind the bar were a breath of fresh, friendly and clearly keen to help out explaining the different beers to customers who were not quite sure.
This was the first time I have sampled food at a Titanic pub,my regular the Greyhound does not serve food, and I must say that me and the wife were very impressed,so compliments to the chef.
All in all a very enjoyable experience, highly recommended.
Will be back again, once again thanks to all the great staff, from the stubby`s.
Went to the kings on Friday meet a few mates and had a few beers. Used to go here when I was younger. Looks a lot better and the menu looks good. Will be back again for more beer and sample the food. Thanks titanic for coming to Congleton.
Arnie's 1st visit says:
Unfortunately I'd driven to Congleton, on other business. So abstained, sadly, had a couple of Coffees, and a look-see,scanned the Menu too.
Met Abby, the Young Lady serving me, and 'Bob'(regular customer)Talked him into trying Titanics Stout. Another one converted from that Auwful stuff called Guinness. Mind you he'd got good taste, drinks Plum Porter.
So I'll be returning soon, to convince Bob of the benifits of being a 1st Class Member of the Titanic Brewery.
Searched for Bus routes from Newcastle-U-Lyme. looks like the best option (Time & Money) is by Train from Stoke, then a 1mile walk from Station to Titanics 9th Jewel.
While living in Stafford, I was a regular visitor to The Sun which I thought was by far the best pub in town. My early impressions of The Olde Kings Arms are equally as good. It is great to have a well run Titanic pub here in Congleton.
I called in at the Kings arms last Friday lunch time with my 7 year old daughter, just to kill some time & ended up having a bite to eat in front of the lovely roaring coal fire. We had the fish finger sandwich & hand cut chips & a portion of cheesy garlic bread. Astounded, didn't think food could taste this great! The fish finger sandwich was the best I've ever tasted & lots of it too! No skimping on the portions which is great! Well don't to an amazing chef & fantastic helpful bar staff, well done Kings arms will be back again soon!!
As a frequent visitor to Congleton I was happy to see that this place had new management, after previous visits were only made good by the ale. Upon my arrival I was greeted well, served a decent pint and the staff had a smile on their face!
A change which the place definitely needed, I'll be back!
